London is a tourist’s paradise with the biggest amount of things to see and do around the city. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants to choose from with all cuisines available to the public. Most of the historic landmarks are either free or reasonably priced to explore. The level of variety like M&M World and Harrods makes it an ideal location for family breaks.
Warhorse
Performing at the New London Theatre on Drury lane is the critically acclaimed show, Warhorse. This is a must see for theatre lovers and is a superb evening entertainment for a family night out in the capital. Hyde Park
Being located in Central London makes this park all the more attractive. Hyde Pak has been chosen to be one of the venues for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Being one of the largest Royal Parks, it is capable of holding up to 3,000 spectators and providing an excellent view for each one. The events that this glorious park will be hosting are the Triathlon and Marathon Swimming.
London Dungeons
The London dungeons are based just beside the famous London bridge tube station. This isn’t your conventional tourist attraction with the appeal reaching out to most ages with their comical tongue in cheek approach to some violent stories. One of the main appeals of the dungeons is that the stories are told by actors portraying real people of the era. This makes the overall experience very interactive and keeps younger ones entertained.
Wicked: The Musical
Wicked is a musical based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire which acts as a sequel to the original Wizard of Oz story. This original music has received praise from critics around the world having won six Drama Desk Awards, a Grammy and winning three out of ten Tony Award Nominations.
Madame Tussauds
This famous wax work museum can be found on Marylebone Road close to Baker Street. The museum was first founded by Marie Tussaud in 1835. She began to make a name for herself whilst presenting her work in a Chamber of Horrors themed display. Since then, her museum has expanded to having dozens of rooms sporting different styles from movie stars to musical legends and politicians to historic figures.
These attractions are close by some great London hotels so you won’t have to travel far to reach any of them. There are numerous tourist offices and ticket offices that offer deals on nearly all of the attractions listed above. Other super London attractions include the London Eye and The British Museum.
